Haley Marsh

My name is Haley Marsh and I am a vibrant lover of learning and teaching! I believe that learning should be both effective and enjoyable - something that gets to be explored together and where mistakes are okay!

My offerings:

- Tutoring in all subjects grades K-2

- High school and college English writing (essays, research papers, or literature analysis, writing skills, grammar, editing, idea generation, outlining or tackling complex assignments, and more).

- ESL/ELL work

My experience:

As a 1st and 2nd Grade teacher, I have experience in planning and executing lessons that cater to each student's needs because I know that every student learns differently. My lessons include an array of approaches from visual to reading and writing, audio and kinesthetic. As a teacher, I have developed strong skills in literacy instruction and comprehensions. I bring an energetic and supportive approach to teaching with many years of teaching kids through adults with different needs, levels, temperaments and goals. I love to see the strides of growth that each individual makes!

With over three years of experience as a college English writing tutor, I have worked closely with students at every stage of the writing process. From generating thesis statements and outlining to sourcing credible resources, editing for grammar, and refining the final draft, I am well-versed in all aspects of essay writing.

As a teacher and volunteer who has worked with diverse populations in many different organizations, I'm no stranger to language differences and barriers and am ready to help you learn the English language.

My goal is to work collaboratively with individuals who struggle in the area of essay writing. As a flexible tutor, my services can change based on the client's needs. I am available via Zoom for scheduled sessions or for individuals interested in essay help, I can work asynchronously to edit or proofread essays via Google Docs.
