Stellar Math Tutoring
About
Hello! I hold a B.S. in mechanical engineering degree. I graduated from Penn State University- University Park. My lessons are customized according to individual needs. I help students to build a solid math foundation. I motivate students by providing examples of real-life applications of math.
I enjoy about my work because it is challenge and utilizes my strongest skills and knowledge.
I have helped a college student on calculus 1 to improve math grade from F to A-. (Before I tutored the student, in a Spring semester, the student got an F course grade on calculus 1 course and had to take the course again. I tutored the student in the summer. In the following Fall semester, the student got A- course grade.)
I have also tutored a student who gained admission to Julia Reynolds Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School which is ranked #1 middle and high school in PA.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, in order to find 'gaps' in student's math skill, I'll let the student to solve problems by himself / herself. Whenever the student makes a mistake, I'll stop the student and explain in details to 'fill up the gaps'.
Second, students will be given problems that relate to the 'gaps' to practice until the 'gaps' disappear.
Third, since my goal is to help students to get at least A- grade, I'll teach students to solve a problem with different methods. This way will help students to gain more knowledge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
