About
I earned my Masters degree in Education and my PA certification to teach PreK-4 in Pennsylvania. I have always been passionate about teaching and helping students learn. I love to work together to make sure my students comprehend what they are learning. I faciliate students by using differentiation throughout the day.
I worked at a daycare throughout college and then became a preschool teacher while in graduate school. Teaching preschool taught me how children grow, learn, and develop at a young age. I also had the opportunity to student teach in a 1st grade classroom. During that experience it became clear to me that I wanted to teach young children.
Currently I teach in an elementary school and love watching the students grow cognitively and socially throughout the year.
Even though I teach elementary school, I still have a passion to help older students achieve their goals, contuine to grow cognitively, and reach their potential.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I first administer a preassessment to determine what level they are on. Then I create material based off their scores and go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I student taught in 1st grade. I was a preschool teacher and worked with young children throughout college. I am currently a building substitute in an elementary school. I also have all clearances required to work with children. Along with additional certificates.

It depends on the subject area and complexity of the area of study.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all students. Ranging from 1st grade to 4th grade. Also I have worked with special needs students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When you are looking to hire a teacher I would make sure that the teacher is willing to put in the time, effort, and work as a team with you in order to help you achieve your goals.
