About
For the past decade, I have been a tutor in various levels of science and math classes for students of all ages. I believe that anyone can excel at and even enjoy STEM classes, they just need the material explained differently! I provide a unique, specialized tutoring experience tailored to fit students' needs.
I have a long-standing and proven track record of success. I am great with kids of all ages. I make science and math FUN! My students score higher on tests and are more confident in their classes.
There is literally nothing I love more than seeing a student's face light up when they realize, "oh wow, I actually do understand this!" during a session. I want to open the doors of STEM to all students, not just those who are immediately "good" at math and science.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I've found that working through a prior test or homework assignment together with a new student is the best way to learn about their current understanding of the material, their learning style, their teacher's expectations for the class, and what needs to be improved.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in biomedical engineering, a minor in chemistry, and I'm currently working towards my PhD in biomedical engineering.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It depends on the subject matter and the student, but my rates tend to fall between $40 and $60 an hour. Please contact me with more details and I can adjust the price accordingly.
How did you get started teaching?
While I always excelled in science and math growing up, my twin brother was more humanities-oriented. As a result, I would tutor him before quizzes and tests. His grades went up and my teaching skills improved. By the time we were in 9th grade, I had developed a knack for explaining confusing concepts in a more understandable way. I began tutoring my peers and just never stopped.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with middle school students, high school students, and college students. I have tons of experience with children of all ages and would happily tutor younger kids if the opportunity arose.
