About
I graduated from Penn State in 2018 with a major in Biobehavioral Health. I have been tutoring since my senior year (2013) in high school and did it all through out college. My main focuses are all fields of science (life, physcial, and social), but I have tutored in many math fields as well.
I also have experience tutoring and working with people with disabilities.
I am currently working for AmeriCorps in Philadelphia, PA and applying to medical school.
I am very friendly, patient and so passionate about science and math! I truly love to tutor people, which is why I've continued to do it even after college. Please feel free to ask me for any more verification of my skills or information!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to figure out their learning style (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic). This helps me figure out the best techniques to use to help them understand the material.
I then ask what they are struggling with and what their current precess for doing things is. This helps me get a sense of where the issue is comming from. So, whether it is an issue of comprehension, study technique, or time management.
From there, I feel confident in getting started. Once I start tutoring, I do regular check ins asking for feedback and am always sure to give time for questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Biobehavioral Health that I earned in 2018. I have been regularly tutoring for 7 years. I have the most experience with science fields and some experience in math fields.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$35 per hour. I try to be reasonable and keep it as low as possible.
How did you get started teaching?
I was an IB chemistry student and doing very well in the class so my teacher asked me to tutor peers in the class. I developed a love for tutoring and turned the occasional after-school activity into my job throughout the rest of my high school career and college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students aged 15 to 22. I have also worked with 7 students with learning disabilities including ADHD and Dyslexia.
