Biology/Neuroscience Tutor
About
Recently graduated with my Masters in Biomedical Science and am excited to help students better understand the Health Sciences. I really enjoy getting people to see how all of the human physiological functions are connected which I believe makes the whole process much easier to understand.
In college, I was a TA for organic chemistry, neuroanatomy, and neurophysiology. In Grad school, I was a tutor for neuroscience. I believe the only reason some people have a hard time understanding these topics is that a teacher is teaching these topics incorrectly or in a way that doesn't correctly fit a student's needs. I really enjoy getting students to better understand these topics.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before I can properly teach a student I need to figure out what type of learning will help the student the most. Is the student a visual learner or auditory learner? After this, I like to better understand who the student is so I can teach in a way that will increase their attention.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to the University of Pittsburgh for college and majored in Neuroscience, minored in Chemistry, and received a certificate in Classical European Studies. After graduating from college I went to Drexel University and just recently received my master's in Medical Science. In college and graduate school, I was a tutor for Organic Chemistry, Functional Neuroanatomy, and Medical Professionalism and Leadership.
