About
I am a passionate artist of over 10 years and an educator with a strong commitment of supporting students in their artistic growth! I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the American College of the Mediterranean, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Temple University, majoring in Art Education.
As an educator, I have 6 years of experience developing and teaching art courses in various disciplines such as art history, drawing, painting, ceramics, digital arts and digital photography. Art education is crucial in creating well-rounded individuals. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of an inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves through art, think critically, and find their unique artistic voice.
I place students at the center of their own artistic journey, and am able to accommodate all diverse ranges of learning styles and abilities. In giving timely, positive and constructive feedback in class, during critiques, and in meetings, my students are able to not only grow their technical artistic skills, but also their confidence and resilience in the face of artistic adversities. By taking inspiration from artists in various disciplines cross-culturally and through applied technical practice, students leave my class with a more comprehensive understanding of art history and self-assurance in their art making abilities.
