Art Tutor
About
I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in textile design. I really love the way clothing, textiles, and art in general connects people. You get to see a type of untouched creativity when teaching kids about art. They approach the subject very openly and I try my best to encourage that so they may grow.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would first like to see where the students' skills and abilities are and then talk to them to figure what ways of learning work best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked as a camp counselor teaching art to kids for the past few summers. I have also babysat individual clients and usually plan art-related activities for them.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would start the rate at $10/hour but if you need that lowered I can do that, especially if you want longer sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching by working at summer camps and babysitting kids during high school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students ages 5-12 with various abilities and backgrounds. I've mostly worked with the 5-7 age group but can work well with any age.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try to have an idea of what you hope to get out of tutoring sessions. That vision can change and that's completely okay but try to initially approach the sessions with a goal. Even if it isn't art-related and you would just like to improve discipline and focus skills, name something about yourself you'd like to see change and grow.
