About
I have been a teacher for fourteen years and have worked with students ranging from second to eighth grade. My teaching experiences include 6th grade ELA, 4th grade, 8th grade religion, and fifth grade. I strongly believe all students are capable of success, provided they are equipped with the tools to do so. My degrees are in elementary and special education, I studied Spanish through college, and have a master's in school counseling. I also have my ESOL certification.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on the content area, I sometimes like to take some type of inventory to assess the student's current academic standing. From there, I think it is important to establish a rapport to foster a conducive learning environment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a teacher for fourteen years and have spent many years tutoring on the side.
How did you get started teaching?
I was blessed to be hired at the school where I student taught. My mom was my main inspiration to go into this field.
