Laney Alegría Willard

Hola! I have been working as a tutor for many years, teaching a variety of languages and subjects. I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish and wrote my thesis on the short stories of Julio Cortázar. I have completed graduate level studies in Spanish Linguistics where my focus was on indigenous languages and language contact. I have spent most of my adulthood living in Latin America. First I lived in sunny Mexico, which I fell in love with and paved the way for me living and working in Paraguay where I met my now husband, a Peruvian who I followed to his native country where we lived for two years.

In Peru I taught at a public university and privately tutored English, Spanish and piano. We moved to State College where I pursued graduate studies in Spanish Linguistics and taught for the university. Now I spent my time privately tutoring in person and online with frequent trips back to Latin America.
