Dr. Grove's Reading And English Tutoring

Hello! My name is Dr. Carolyn Grove, and I have my Doctorate of Education in Reading and Literacy. As a reading specialist of 10 years, I sincerely love working with all types of learners, especially in reading, English, literacy, writing instruction, and SAT prep. I have experience working with learners of all ages, from early childhood education through adulthood, for the past 15 years with an emphasis on literacy.

I recently completed my dissertation on motivating struggling students to read and actively engaging learners by fostering teacher-student relationships. I love working in small groups or one-on-one with students because it allows for the opportunity to develop a relationship with individualized instruction to fit students' personal needs.

I enjoy my work because I sincerely have a passion for helping learners achieve their goals. I particularly specialize in struggling readers. I find it incredibly rewarding to help students bridge the achievement gap and develop their skills while also fostering attitudes of self-advocacy. The best part of my job is helping students feel confident and proud by overcoming obstacles.
