Colleen's Physics, General Science, Math, And Spanish Tutoring

I am a physics with teaching major in my senior year at Temple University. I have been a TA for a physics ii course, a TA for a teaching class involving field experience, as well as have done small group math tutoring in math levels up to and including Calc III. I have a passion for math and science, as well as how to teach. I also speak Spanish, which allows me to not only tutor people in learning Spanish, but also allows me to tutor English second language (esl) students in math and science in Spanish if that is their first language. I love finding a way to make difficult concepts easy and understandable and then seeing the look on the face of a student when they make the connection with the material. Education should be interesting and inspiring.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am in my senior year as a Physics major at Temple University. I am actually more specifically a Physics with teaching major, which entails the same physics b.s., but with the addition of education classes as well as teaching certification. I also am working towards my Spanish minor, and only need one more class towards the minor to obtain it.
How did you get started teaching?
I was inspired my junior year by my physics teacher. I loved the subject and the education aspect, and decided this was the direction I wanted for my career.

Middle school, high school, and college students.
