At Jeffrey Miller, M.A., in West Chester, PA, I am dedicated to providing personalized tutoring in Earth and space sciences, biology, environmental science (A.P.) and human geography. As a passionate educator with 20+ years of experience at the college and secondary levels in science and geography education, I offer one-on-one sessions tailored to build upon prior learning experiences*. My mission is to inspire confidence and excitement in learning, ensuring students not only achieve tangible results but also develop a genuine interest in the world around them.
*I utilize metacognitive techniques to uncover prior learning, identify misunderstandings and build upon areas of strength. Science integration is another proven strategy--sciences complement; each one builds upon another so for the learner, the work is to identify and build upon what already is solid, what works, and then find the connections between courses/classes. Subjects may appear as silos, but that’s not how nature nor how the human mind works.
