Elementary Educator

I am a certified elementary teacher with a Master’s degree in Education from Kutztown University and a Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Elementary Education (K–4). I have five years of classroom teaching experience, primarily in second grade, with additional experience teaching third grade. I have taught in both public and private school settings, including the Allentown School District and the Catholic Diocese of Allentown, which has allowed me to work with students from a wide range of learning abilities and backgrounds.

In my tutoring, I focus on helping 1st–3rd grade students strengthen foundational reading and math skills in a way that is supportive, structured, and confidence-building. I tailor each session to the student’s current skill level and learning style, using a variety of teaching approaches to help concepts “click.”

Reading support includes:

-Phonics and decoding

-Reading fluency and comprehension

Math support includes:

-Number sense and place value

-Addition and subtraction fact fluency

-Multiple strategies for solving word problems accurately and efficiently

I have experience supporting students who learn differently and who may need instruction presented in clear, manageable steps. My goal is to help students feel successful, motivated, and capable—while giving parents peace of mind that their child is receiving expert, individualized support.
