I love being able to help students that are having trouble understanding concepts. Thinking outside the box for certain students is difficult, so it's my job to think outside the box and bring solutions to the student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student. I want to know what the student already knows and work up from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have degrees in special education and ESL.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $20 per one hour session. $13 for a half hour. These are prices for online tutoring. If I have to travel I will work that out with the student.
How did you get started teaching?
I have a hearing loss and wanted to work with students like me. I started taking special education classes at college and feel in love with the kids. I love trying to help them learn and be the best they can be.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with many different kinds of students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You need to be comfortable with the tutor. If you don't feel comfortable and are uneasy, you are not going to learn much.
