I have worked with students of varied levels, whether it be as a certified English teacher in a classroom, or tutoring students one-on-one in math, English, writing, and SAT prep. I am professional, friendly, outgoing, flexible, and I get results. I have 18 years of experience and am dual-certified in English and mathematics.
I love interacting with students, seeing improvement, and helping them grow more confident as they become young adults. Sometimes a student's self esteem can be lifted just by improving on a skill, and I strive to be a part of that process.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I spend time as ascertaining what is his/her need(s) and then come up with an individualized plan to help them reach his/her goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergrad degree in journalism and political science. I have a master's degree in English Education. I have been teaching secondary English (high school) for 18 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start around $30, and depending on hours am flexible.
How did you get started teaching?
I always loved helping people, reading, and writing. The rest kind of just came together!
