Are you ready to learn?! I am ready to support academic and personal growth using current best practices with a focus on positivity, connection, and deep understanding. I have 2 years of tutoring experience, 1 year of teaching experience, and 5 years of experience working in schools as an educational assistant. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Special Education. I have a passion for learning and helping others find their spark!
I love seeing the spark light in a students eye when a concept clicks.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start by getting to know the student's interests, strengths, and struggles both academically and socially. I assess the academic needs of the student and create a plan to build skills. Once a plan is in place I set up a schedule.

How did you get started teaching?
I got started after spending time at an elementary school in my undergrad program. I loved the excitement and joy kids got when they learned something new , or finally got a concept down that they had struggled with.

Elementary and middle school students.
