About
My name is McKenzie Wernicke and I am a graduating high school senior. I am graduating #1 in my class with a 4.27 GPA and will be attending college in California in the fall. I love working with students and have been highly involved with babysitting and tutoring throughout high school. One of my favorite extracurriculars throughout high school has been Unified PE where I work alongside special needs students, creating an inclusive atmosphere. I'm a big advocate for inclusivity and teaching and want to carry that into my tutoring. My method for tutoring is to provide a safe patient space where I can make the subject more fun for the student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First understanding what the students specific needs are then creating a plan with them as to how we will move forward. Then step by step completing our plan until we both feel more comfortable with where they are at.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked at my high school preschool for several years teaching students. I also have tutored my elementary school sister and her friends within the subject of math. I have completed Alegebra-Geometry as well as AP Calculus and AP Statistics and scored a 700 on my math SAT.
