I have taught for over 35 years. I specialize in working with children and adolescents offering tutoring and assessment. I also help parents understand their child’s unique learning issues. I provide skill-based tutoring instruction tailored to the student’s individual needs.

Our son has been seeing Tricia for numerous years. Tricia has extensive experience with the local school systems, the IEP/405 process, and has great interpersonal skills. Tricia connects with students of all age levels. Tricia filled in the gaps where the school system failed our son. Our son is in high school and he has chosen to stay with her thru graduation. His reading and writing skills have improved immensely. Tricia has also given him some advise and support for ACT, PreSAT and SAT testing. Slow and steady has been a good course for us. We shouldnt have to supplement public schools, but when there isnt a realistic/good alternative - you do what you need to do. This investment in our sons education has fruitful as he has received from Tricia: support, nurturing, accountability, structure, confidence, and consistency.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Initially, students are given placement testing to ascertain their needs and to match instruction. Parents are always involved in determining priorities.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 35 years experience working with students who have Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia,ADHD, or who just need extra academic support. I have a Masters Degree in Education.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work primarily with students who are considered to have a Learning Disability, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder. I have also worked with student who have high functioning Autism.
