Clement Tutoring

I received my B.S. in Special Education K-12 and Masters in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus as a Reading Specialist at Penn State University. After college I lived in Washington, DC and worked as an elementary school special education teacher for DC Public Schools for 5 years. I worked with a range of disabilities including Specific Learning Disability, Autism, Other Health Impairment (i.e. ADD/ADHD), Emotional Disturbance, and Intellectual Disability. I serviced student needs in a range of settings including one-on-one and small group pull-out instruction, self-contained classroom, and general education inclusion. I've worked with students in Kindergarten - 5th grade in the subject areas of reading, writing, and math. In addition to academic content, I've provided supports and interventions for behavior, social, and emotional needs. I've worked extensively with families to ensure their child's needs and hopes are met, as well as the proper accommodations are in place to foster success, happiness, and confidence in their child's learning. As a recent transplant to Portland and new mother, I'm looking to continue my teaching passion with individual tutoring sessions during week night evenings.
