About
I am a recent high school graduate. I finished my high school credits 2 terms early. To get ahead, I took 2 terms at the community college, and I will be attending the University of Oregon as a sophomore in the fall (even though technically I am only a senior). I am extremely passionate about helping others and would love nothing more than to use my knowledge to help others succeed. I often help my sister, as well as the kids I nanny, with their homework.
ACT - I took my first ACT in 2018 and scored a 19. After studying and learning the information inside out, I raised my score 7 points. A 26 was enough for me at the time, however, I know if I took it again, I would score much higher.
Experience - I have student-taught many classes before (at the elementary level) and I have also coached several volleyball teams.
Languages - I speak English mainly but have taken 6+ years of Spanish. I am able to hold a conversation and I know the history of the culture.
My schedule is flexible as all of my classes are online. Please reach out via email or text if you need anything or have any other questions. I do not frequently answer phone calls (too much spam these days) so if I do not answer your call, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Helping people brings a smile to my face. Seeing a student succeed is like a big hug. There is so much pressure today to be perfect, and my job is to make the student realize that they don't have to be. Not everyone is book smart. Not everyone is athletic. And that's okay. Everyone has a talent that will change the world... Some are just hidden and need to be brought out.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is to get to know the student and how they work. It is impossible to try and teach a student if they have a different learning style than you. Through a series of questions, I will be able to create a plan to help the student succeed and learn the absolute most that they can. Like the name says, we want to work smarter, not harder.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on how often we have sessions and how long the sessions will last will determine the price. As well as the topic we are covering and the amount of work we need to cover in one session.
First introduction visit will be $10. During this session, I will get to know the student and how they learn best. Further pricing can be determined after our first visit.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching in 6th grade when I was in a teaching class. We got to work with elementary school kids and teach them one lesson a week.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. Nothing matters to me. Race, gender, disabilities... I don't care. I just want the student to be the best they can be.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Work smarter not harder. These days, learning at school can get tricky. There are many ways to teach a class, and not all of them are perfect for you. Hence why I get to know the student prior.
Grades do not define you. Tests do not define you. How well someone else does, does not make you any smarter or dumber. You are different than everyone else.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
None need to be covered now. All can be discussed during the first session.
