Marie's Marvelous Tutoring

Hello, my name is Marie and I am very excited to meet you!

I am originally from England, but have lived in the United States of America for 22 years. I have a degree in psychology and a certificate in teaching English as a second language.

If you decide to work with me, I will help you every step of the way and we can work at a pace that is comfortable for you.

I will take the time to listen to you and I can be very adaptable so that I can be the best teacher possible. If you don’t like something that I am doing, or a way that I am teaching you, please tell me because I have lots of different teaching methods and styles. My main goal is for you to succeed! In addition, my goal is for you to enjoy learning!

I also hope that we can develop a friendship because this makes learning a lot easier. When I teach new students, I take time to get to know them and I always welcome any questions about myself also.

I am very detail oriented, so I can detect mistakes easily and provide gentle guidance on how to correct them. I am very easy-going and fun-loving, so tutoring will not be boring with me.m, however, you will still see results that will make your parents and your teachers proud.

I have taught English as a second language for over three years, and I have also worked as an editor on textbooks. Studying English can be very overwhelming but I will be able to help you with everything from correct spelling, to grammar, and pronunciation.
