About this tutor

Hello, my name is Tiffany! I have a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Pre-medicine from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, and am completing a Master of Science in Bioethics from Columbia University. I am also preparing to leave for Medical School at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia this coming January (2020). I am well-taught in the sciences, with my strongest being biology, chemistry, human anatomy & physiology, and ocean sciences. I am able to tutor all these subjects, but please be specific with how detailed so I can study up before our sessions. I look forward to working with you! :)

I have spent the majority of my life completing school (in one way or another) so tutoring is a great way for me to give back to the academic community. Learning is such a great accomplishment; I would love to help you or your child achieve their goals and ace their tests!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

This is my first time with Tutors.com, so I do not have a process. Let's see what you need and how my availability/knowledge aligns to see if we're a good fit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

B.S. Biology with emphasis in Pre-Medicine (Grand Canyon University 2017)

M.S. Bioethics (Columbia University 2019)

Future M.D. from University of Queensland-Ochsner (2024)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$40/hour

(for college-level tutoring, I will charge more because it is more in-depth/requires more time for me to prepare)

How did you get started teaching?

I was an Instructional Assistant at my undergraduate University in General Chemistry, General Biology, and Pathophysiology. I held tutoring office hours for each of those classes to answer students' questions. I also have studied the sciences for most of my student career, so I have a good knowledge base.

What types of students have you worked with?

Undergraduate-level students
