About
I work with students to figure out their goals whether its work/school related, or just aiming to relax with a new craft. I build a comfortable environment to learn together.
Every student brings new and exciting interests to our sessions whether its animal portraits, architecture or cartoons. This gets me excited to work with a new subject every session!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
These sessions are for YOUR self improvement. I don’t give out grades. Whether for hobbyist sketching or career building, the best way to learn is having a safe space to make mistakes. I provide a comfortable environment to make those mistakes, to ask every question rattling in your brain and to remind you that as long as you’re actively doing, you’re improving.
Every student, every human learns differently. It’s important to let me know the ways in which you learn best so we can work at your pace. If you’ve hit mental roadblocks and stress points in the past impeding your progress, we’ll address them and craft a routine that places you right into that flowstate. Because whether a craft is for work or play, you should feel good doing it.
My intent is to “teach you how to fish”, so to speak. Should you decide to stop our sessions at any point, you will already have a roadmap and the tools to continue improving on your own.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started teaching?
During my time in storyboarding I had been a guest teacher at a few summer camps. After each of these sessions I would have parents ask me if I tutored. Eventually I caught the teaching bug and took on half a dozen students.
What types of students have you worked with?
Youth between 7-16 and working adults looking to both learn illustration and the required software.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you make your goals clear when hiring a new art tutor. Are you drawing as a hobby? Training for a college portfolio? Hoping to pick up some sketch tips for work? Drawing as a skill can be incredibly helpful.
