Sunni Svangren, M.Ed.

I’m Sunni Svangren, M.Ed., a high school English teacher and tutor based in Gladstone, Oregon. I work with students who want to grow as readers, writers, and thinkers, whether they need help catching up, strengthening academic skills, preparing for essays, or building more confidence with English Language Arts.

My tutoring style is supportive, thoughtful, and student-centered. I believe strong reading and writing skills come from more than memorizing rules or formulas. They grow when students feel safe enough to ask questions, take risks, and discover that their ideas matter. I help students break down challenging texts, organize their thoughts, develop stronger writing, and find their own voice on the page.

I offer personalized English tutoring for high school and college students, as well as students preparing to transition into high school. My goal is to meet each learner where they are, help them build practical skills, and make English feel less intimidating and more meaningful.
