M+AD Writing Tutoring
About
I have over ten years exprience teaching writing, reading, and english to all ages, from children through college-students and adults. I have experience teaching adults and children with learning differences and special needs, as well as ESL students.
I earned my MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. My writing has appeared in Lit Hub, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, Queen Mob’s Teahouse, and Berfrois. In 2018, I was a semi-finalist for the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship. Where All the Funeral Homes Are, a collection of stories, is being shopped with publishers. My current project is a lyric flash non-fiction memoir entitled, I AM HERE.
I love helping my students succeed! I love getting to know each student to create a plan that works best for their individual goals and needs. What are they passionate about? How best do they learn? How can we make something that feels overwhelming or difficult, feel instead like a rewarding (and doable!) challenge?

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by assessing their level at the subject while we discuss their goals. We can then come up with a plan to achieve those goals. I also work to find ways to make the work fun, so that tutoring is an enjoyable and rewarding experience for my students.
