Avery Kester

My name is Avery Kester, and I work with students in Reading, Writing, Literature, English, and Creative Writing subjects. I earned my MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska in January 2021.

My focus as a tutor is on treating each student like an individual and working together to create a plan that focuses on growth and success. I have worked individually with students ages 7-19 and have some experience teaching at a collegiate level.

I like to have fun with students, I never want writing and reading to feel like a chore. I often let students pick their own materials, with guidance from myself, and we spend time reading and writing stories that are fun.
