I can typically triple your student's reading vocabulary in 9 months with just 2, 20 minute sessions per week, using the proven system I have developed. It combines the science of reading with high-frequency (sight) words and focused reading vocabulary building. I also offer nutrition support to enhance brain function if desired.

I have a B.T. (computer systems engineering), M.B.A., and Ph.D. (nutrition). I am married and am a father of two adopted special-needs sons (ADHD, etc.). I taught 7th-grade Math in a private school one year. I created and marketed educational Math software for grades 4-6. I am currently a substitute Instructional Assistant in Reedsport public schools. I have tutored students since August, 2023.

My hope is that students will progress in proficiency to the level of peers so they can stay motivated to grow their learning.

It is energizing to help students develop a love for learning. I have been doing this as a tutor and keep learning how to improve my effectiveness. Using assessments (tests) and effective feedback will encourage their learning progress, build confidence and enjoyment. Their comprehension will grow when meaning is attached to words. The main thing that discourages learning is not being able to keep up with growth in word complexity. I can start with simple, small words and build on success at an appropriate rate of growth.
