Paige Schindler
About
Hello! My name is Paige, and I am excited to share a bit about my passion for the Spanish language with you.
My love for the Spanish language took flight when I had the opportunity to study abroad in Santiago, Chile for one academic year, my senior year of high school. Returning to the states,
I transitioned into a Spanish language degree program at Oregon State University, with a
minor in Ethnic Studies of Latinx cultures. While in university, I had the privilege of studying abroad in Queretaro, Mexico for a trimester.
Following my completion of my undergraduate degree, I was offered a paid position at Casa
Latinos Unidos in Corvallis, where I had previously completed an internship. I learned a
tremendous amount of information surrounding our local Latinx community, their culture
and their needs. From Casa Latinos Unidos, I was offered the opportunity to serve as a
Spanish GED, GED Preparation (in English) and English Language Acquisition teacher
position in the Adult Basic Skills department at Linn Benton Community college. It was here
that I discovered my love and passion for teaching.
I currently serve as a full time Spanish teacher at a small independent school. I absolutely love my job, so much that I enjoy doing it in my free time!
I can't wait to meet you and work with you on your Spanish skills!
