Emily Van Tassell

I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. As a certified teacher, I taught fourth grade for two years, and Kindergarten for nearly two. Prior to my teaching career, I gained a significant amount of experience with students ranging in age from early childhood to eighth grade as student teacher, Reading Partners volunteer, and childcare worker. I believe it is important to foster a learning environment that balances the necessary development of academic skills with genuine curiosity and a love of learning.
