Teachers who believe in students are more invested in seeing them succeed. I want everyone to have some knowledge of science in a way that helps students make sense of the world and be more successful in their classes.
I love seeing students gain hope as they increase their knowledge and level of success. This growth means that as adults they will feel more empowered to understand and use science as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, we talk about their purpose for receiving tutoring and their goals for improvement. We then talk about a few topics to see where they currently are in their class and what their strengths and weaknesses are in science. From there, we can create a plan of progress for each lesson to help students form a stronger foundational knowledge to be successful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate work was focused on chemistry and biology. I have a master's degree in science education and a doctorate in curriculum, teaching, and teacher education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard Pricing is $40/hour. There are no fees for cancellation with 12 hours notice. Under 12 hours notice is $20. Payment via Venmo is preferred.

I have worked with students all over the world and believe everyone can be empowered to understand science and be successful in Chemistry.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you communicate your needs clearly and find a tutor who you get along with and can help you meet your goals.
