I have been a certified special education teacher for 8 years. Before becoming a teacher, I was a teacher assistant for Kindergarten and K-5 special education. I currently teach Kindergarten through 3rd grade special education reading and math.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first session, we will get to know each other by filling out a questionairre and complete assessments to obtain a baseline and to help me determine future lessons.

How did you get started teaching?
I was a teacher assistant for 10 years before earning a bachelors degree in special education. This is my 8th year teaching special education reading and math for Kindergarten through third grade.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach special education K-3rd students. I have taught students with disablities such as: autism, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, learning disability, ADHD, vision impairments, and behavior disorders.
