About
I have started teaching since 1998 at the age of 15 years old, helping my friends get better at the guitar. After I went to college to study music (jazz guitar) at Notre-Dame-De-Foy in Québec City, Canada, I moved to the USA where I studied elementary education at Prescott College. I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade all subjects, as well as music and Special education from grades 1 to 8. Oklahoma teaching Certification
I love seeing progress and confidence in people.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every good instructional process begins with the assessment of current knowledge, so that a plan can be made that focuses on the skills that are missing and not the ones that have been mastered. After the needed skills are established, careful scaffolding is made to bridge the gap between what is known and what is required for the student in school (or other environment). Goals are also created, short term (week or 2) and longer term goals (month, quarter or year)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. French as first language
2. Associate's in Jazz Guitar from Notre-Dame-De-Foy (Québec City, Canada, 2004)
3. Bachelor's of Art in Elementary Education K-8 (2011)
15 years experience in private teaching
7 years experience teaching in public/charter schools

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You can do more than you think, and with the will to persevere and the right help, you can impress yourself.
