About
I once was a struggling student. I attended 15 public schools in Oklahoma growing up. I know how difficult it can be when you simply don't know where to begin. Counselors said I wouldn't be able to take on the reading demands of a four year university and that I should go back to a community college. I'm not the type you tell "You Can't," to. I earned my Bacholars Degree a few years later then a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I COULD DO IT and I DID DO IT!!! Then I helped several public school students make reading and math gains that floored my colleagues.
I did it, my former students did it...and
SO CAN YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to break the ice using a real-world example of my own reading error. I add to this platform and it has always helped develop a comfort level that has provided fruitful insight, a fun laugh and a spark of inspiration. This divulging of personal pitfalls is the cornerstone for building relationships that have facilitated huge documented reading and math gains among 4th, 5th and 6th graders in public education. When students know their teacher struggled and how she overcame they tend to develop a personal desire of identifying and achieving goals they never thought they could. They adhere to habits and standards that perpetually help them personally and accademically. I know this because I keep up with many former students and more often so their parents and they themselves locate or keep up with me!
