About

I am so excited to get back into teaching kiddos. I've loved teaching and helping children since I was probably 8 years old. I knew back when I was in 2nd grade that I wanted to be a teacher, but as I grew older I knew being a teacher was not for me, but I always wanted to stay active in helping teachers and children.

I love teaching and interacting with children. It's always been a passion of mine since I was young. I've been out of the childcare and assistant teaching programs for quite some time, but I somehow always manage to come back to it.

    Frequently asked questions

I want to get to know my students and learn the way they learn so I can learn how to teach them and to help them understand the material in their own ways. I am extremely patient with any adult or child that has learning disabilities of any kind,

I have been in and out of child care since I was 16 years old and I have tutored some of my friend's children and also have tutored some of my friends in college. I am extremely patient when it comes to children with learning disabilities.

Due to the fact that I am just starting out, I want my prices to be reasonable and fair. Depending on the subject in which the child needs help with will depend on what I what to charge.

I don't have my teaching degree or a certificate, but I have worked in school settings and been a teacher's assistant in the past.

I have worked with all types of students. For example, I have worked with autistic students, and students who have ADD or ADHD

I can remember a time I was assisting with tutoring a friend's child who is borderline autistic with some math homework that he just was not understanding and his mother was not understanding either. So I sat down with him and showed him a few tricks to help him understand what he was trying to learn which was which number is greater or which number is less.

I've had several friend's children ask me multiple times if I could home school them due to them understanding their school work more when I teach them versus when they learn at school.

Be compassionate and patient with your tutor, you do not know what they go through on daily basis, but do know that your tutor is here to help you in every way that they possibly can.

Tell your tutor or teachers what you struggle with most. Your tutor or teacher can then figure out a way to help you understand material in a way that best suits your needs.
