What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will begin by setting up a time and location that is acceptable to both groups. Any information about the student's current progress or challenges is greatly appreciated. Then, I will start assisting with the fundamental skills needed to succeed in his or her math class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am beginning my fifth year teaching currently. I taught for one year as a fifth grade math and science teacher and I am beginning my fourth year as an 8th grade math teacher. I have my graduate degree in special education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My typical fee is $15 per half an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
My dad was a teacher and I watched how much passion he had for the profession. I consider myself lucky to continue his legacy.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from 3rd grade up to 10th grade.
