ESL At Home
About
Many students are elated that I am very patient, kind, and detailed in my instruction and feedback. I take the time to know them and their goals and give an attentive ear to their level of English. We can work together to make progress.
I absolutely love that I can help people with their everyday language skills and business english to get a job. This allows others to travel, understand family and be able to explore and discover more of the world!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I get a new student I introduce myself and how I teach. I clarify the purpose of our meetings as well as the time we have set. After, I like getting to know them a bit. Learning about their goals, strengths, and struggles. I like to understand their learning style. Then we can do a short simple lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my TESOL certification January 2022. I have been teaching ESL online since then. I have also taught homeschool for 8 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally, base price is $17/hour. However, I will discuss the price with the student, based on how frequently we can meet and for how long, and also if there are any specifics that might change things. Students must prepay for 4 classes before classes begin.
How did you get started teaching?
With a love of learning. Even now I have plans to continue my own education for the opportunity to teach at a university.
What types of students have you worked with?
Various from teens to elderly. I have worked with people from various countries, those who just want to improve speaking to those who are needing grammar to pass a national exam. Most of my students are lower intermediate who are seeking to improve their english skills in order to get a new job.
