Accelerated Math
About
We are here to help students not only succeed in there studies, but also accelerate above the average. We will work with them and help them get through the difficulties and also congratulate them when they understand the concepts. We will push them but we also will sit back and listen and understand so we know the struggles. We are not just here to make money, but to make an impact on these students lives so they are encouraged to make an impact on others lives one day. I have been tutoring since I was in 6th grade myself. I have also worked as an aide as a school and tutored a lot of one on one with that.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will see where they need help at and ask when they would like to work on these areas. Ask them if they want to work on a weekly basis or just as needed and go from there
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school for a teachers aide for a year. I have tutored for almost 15 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
If we do an hourly rate for k-6 it is 15-20 based on the lesson for 7th-12th it is 20-30 based on the lesson. If we do a weekly rate of roughly 5 hours a week it is 75-100 based on the lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I started by others asking me to help them with their studies. I was nervous at first but I was like I should use my knowledge to help impact others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds. Ones that are very challenging and get off task easily and also ones that are determined to get the work done.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a kindergartener come back to me after finishing his reading program for school and thank me for encouraging him to keep trying to read the harder words because now he can read his favorite book all by himself.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell them to let them know where they are struggling before they choose who they are going to have be their tutor. Different tutors are meant for different areas.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What can they do on their own before seeking their teachers help.
