About
College Colleages was established in 2015. We go beyond traditional tutoring and provide 1:1 Academic Success Coaching! College Colleagues is not a franchise. We are a locally owned learning center, owned and operated by two "College Colleagues," Joline and Christine. Combined, the two educators have over 30 years of experience in student support and academic success programming.
Learners of all ages (K-Adult) work with an experienced and background-checked coach to learn class content along with HOW to learn the material. Students can bring their cousework to our warm and motivating center, and experience expert tutoring/coaching by a Colleague. There are no assessment fees or additional tests needed to get started. 20 minute consultatios are free!
We specialize in ACT/SAT test prep, English, Mathematics, Reading and Science, and Study Skills (organization, studying, note-taking, time management, test taking skills, goal setting and motivation).
We also offer art enrichment classes and "Bully Proof" which is our Bully Prevention Program. Students in grades K-12 learn more about bullying and how to prevent it in this eye-opening and collaborative workshop. Educational consulting and motivating speakers are also available.

Each learner is an individual with unique skills and strengths. We love to maximize on those sthrengths to further develop self-confidence and improve motivation.
Our lessons are custom created by Success Coaches with Master's Degrees or higher. Our lessons are one to one so we can really get to build a positive rapport with each learner.
It is extremely rewarding to introduce students of all ages and abilities to new learning techniques and to watch them grow in confidence and self-esteem.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
You may begin with an optional 20 minute consultation, or schedule your first session and dive right in!
Based on the needs and availability of the learner, we will match the learner with the best coach. You can choose to meet once, twice per week, or for as many hours per week as you see fit and fits your budget.
You can pay as you go (we ask that you pay for the session in advanace to reserve your coach), or you may purchase a package deal where the more sessions you purchase, the more you save.
Once we get started, students are welcome to use their own curriculum or we can use ours to supplement what is being learned in school. Bring in any homework, old tests/quizzes, projects or papers. Unlike other learning centers, we focus on the curriculum being learned in the classroom to improve letter grades as well as do better on standardized tests.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, we taught a Cursive Writing Class. Coming in January we are teaching a Vision Boards for kids class!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the coach is someone you trust and someone who is experienced and skilled in the areas of assistance. Does the coach motivate and inspire you?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
We advise to write down questions as they come up. Don't rely on your memory to ask questions in class about the homework or assignments.
Write down all homework assignments and make sure to ask if you do not know the dates of upcoming exams!
