I really enjoy seeing students progress and pushing them to look at things differently! The way we communicate is so important and affects every aspect of life. That all begins with ELA!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by understanding their needs by giving them a diagnostic exam. I will ask to look at prior work product. I will try to gage their interests and see how I can meet them where they are at.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a secondary ELA teacher for two years and have tutored nearly my whole life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I price at $40 an hour. This is what I get paid at my current job as a law clerk. I found that pricing for secondary ELA tutoring is between $25-$80 a session. I think with my experience $40 is a fair price.
How did you get started teaching?
I started with Teach for America! I am very passionate about educational equity.

9th through 12th grade!
