About
Hi there! My name is Michelle, and I have been a middle childhood educator in a Cleveland-area suburb for six years. My first three years were spent in 7th-grade ELA, where I got to share my passion for reading and writing with my students. I currently am in my third year of teaching 8th grade science, and I love creating engaging, hands-on labs and activities for my students. Due to my experience in both subjects, I have mastered the art of reading and writing in the content area, and I have plenty of help to offer!
Growing as a professional is a high priority of mine, and I am constantly working to improve myself as a teacher and help my colleagues and students improve as well. I have presented several years at the Ohio Middle Level Association conference in Columbus on topics ranging from student engagement and relationships to building student and staff morale.
Although my teaching experience has just been in ELA and science, I am certified in all core subjects for grades 4-9 and am happy to help in any way I can!
