About
I enjoy using multiple methods together to try and encourage as broad a depth of understanding as possible for every subject.
Experience includes a full semester of assistant teaching at St. Francis Catholic School, and a 36 on the ACT.
Hours are flexible, as I am taking college courses online.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Bear in mind that i'm still a college student. Having said that, I have three main steps for every student:
First we try to find out what specific learning goals we are trying to achieve,
Second we work together to identify an existing framework or preexisting knowledge to build off of,
And third I try to give the student the tools to expand that framework in order to match their learning goals.
This could take a question as simple as "I want to get a higher score on the ACT" and turn it into actionable steps of taking a practice test, analysing the results for gaps in knowledge (or test anxiety), developing strategies to overcome those gaps in knowledge which relate to what the student already knows, and ensuring the effectiveness of this via further practice testing.
Or it could be as broad as "How could I retain the content of this math course more efficiently?"
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Assistant teaching at St. Francis Seraph School in downtown Cincinnati - 2019-2020
ACT score of 36 - 2018
Formal education is still in progress
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I hope to accomodate lower income pupils and higher income alike, following a similar strategy to that pursued by Mary Seacole when nursing in the Crimean War
