I am a college undergraduate at Monash University in Malaysia currently in my 3rd year doing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
I am currently working as a part-time online tutor for Tutopiya.com, teaching Mathematics and Physics from grades 4 - Advanced Level(Cambridge and Edexcel).
The year of teaching experience I had allowed me to teach various students and I was able to identify the need of each student and adjust my method of teaching to suit each individual student.
The most common teaching style I use includes student interaction and as many discussions as possible in order to keep the student involved in the lesson as much as possible.
My sessions do not end when the class is over, the student will receive notes on each subject and students can request any additional notes as well

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Firstly, we would have a small discussion on both of our backgrounds on the subject. This is compulsory for the student and teacher to be more connected.
2. The student and I would devise a plan to go through the whole syllabus in the limited time we have.
3. Make sure I get the student as involved as possible in the lesson, and make sure he/she understands the concepts taught.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. I have obtained A* for Physics, and 2A's for Mathematics and Computer Science in my Cambridge Advanced Level Examination

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Well, an average of $12 per hour would do, but this varies according to the student's academic year. This could be negotiated.
How did you get started teaching?
Well, I used to teach all my colleagues and pupils when schooling. They would always appreciate me for my teaching skills, encouraging words, and motivation. Since then I started to obtain a certain passion for teaching hence, I started pursuing my dream of becoming a teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
During my entire teaching career I've encountered several dozens of students from all over the globe. My expertise lies with teaching students of ages varying from age 10 to 20. I understand that there are few children that need special exposure when it comes to learning. I've handled and guided children who lack motivation or children who simply just need more detailed explanations and attention.
