About
Is your child at risk for retention? Does your child lack motivation or confidence when doing his or her school work? Does your child often make simple mistakes even though they understand the concepts? Does your child need support with Test Prep? Does your child need help with Language Arts, Math, or Homework? Is your child 4 to 11 years of age? Are you okay with virtual sessions? If you said yes to 2 or more questions, I can help!
My sessions are always fun, interesting and the time goes by very fast. My students are always looking forward to working with me. I also get my students to learn that a little effort and work can make a big difference. I love to hear the students share what they can't do and then compare it to what they can do at the end of their program.
My passion for providing services is to motivate and build students confidence levels so that they will do well in any area. I plan to help students achieve their goals by having a fun and engaging sessions. The student's interest will be taken into consideration, they will receive reinforcement for their efforts and brain breaks will be given to keep their minds open to learning.
I have a strong desire to shape the minds of young children, therefore I have been providing them with engaging activities for 20 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I am a Behavior Technician and have experience implementing ABA programs when working with students with special needs. I am no stranger to the Orton Gillingham methods when working with students with dyslexia that typically struggle with reading, and handwriting. My greatest assets are understanding how children learn best, and being able to create motivating activities that promote confidence, which allows students to excel in all areas.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I work with a student that gets frustrated easily and feels anxious about challenging concepts. I assured him that I would help him along the way, and not to be afraid to answer, because we learn from our mistakes. I asked him if he was ready and he said, "Bring It on!" No screaming, hollering, or shutting down. This made my day!

You want to hire a teacher that has experience, willing to try new things, knows how to use technology, like to have fun, values student's interests and understand the student's needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think through the process of problem solving before talking about their needs. A student might ask themselves any of the following questions:
Did I try my best? Can I understand what is being asked? Is there information that I don't need? Did I use my resources? Did I come up with an answer even if I am unsure? Did I show my work?
