Jack The Scientist

Hello, my name is Jack, and I am a scientist!

I obtained my B.S. in Microbiology from OSU, and I have worked in an infectious disease research lab for over four years. My extensive education covered courses such as general biology, genetics, evolution/ecology, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, and many more. My work focuses on antibiotic-resistant pathogens and developing new treatments for these diseases, as well as understanding how bacteria cause infections.

I know that science can be a tough subject, and learning in a large classroom can make it even more difficult. My goal as a tutor is to make big concepts less daunting and foster an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I am punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic about all things science.
