Akil McBride

Hi! I’m excited to support students on their learning journey. I bring many years of tutoring experience, beginning as early as elementary school where I helped classmates build confidence and understanding in core subjects. I specialize in math, science, history, and social studies.

Algebra I is one of my favorite areas to teach because it forms the foundation for real-world, day-to-day math—skills students will rely on as adults when managing budgets, running businesses, and making informed decisions. History, social studies, and science are my greatest passions, as they help explain how our world works and continues to evolve. I have consistently tested in the top percentiles in these subjects and strive to make learning both meaningful and engaging for every student.
