Adams History Tutoring
About
I am also a student that can relate to the current struggles in an academic career. I understand that without history, you have nothing, as history has created our present lives and our future. I know how to adapt to different indivudials and diligently work to fix underlying complications along with striving to bring out confidence and integrity. Success is not effortless but taking pride in your work gets you one step closer to succeeding. Therefore, I aim to help my students pride themselves in their studies and successes.
I enjoy connecting the dots of how society has made it to where they are, along with trying to determine where we are heading. History opens a gateway of research and can be used for a vast number of things. I know many individuals who continued their education in medical school after earning a history degree as they felt fulfilled by various questions many people do not know the answer to. I love connecting ideas and actively talking about historical events while also allowing myself to get excited and focused on the topic.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I analyze the material the student is currently studying, including what topics they are succeeding in. Second, I observe the student and how they work and study to gain a further understanding of the approach I need to take. As someone who needs to find creative learning methods continually, I am eager to analyze what can help someone retain more information. I typically use phrases that sound like words to help one memorize (ex., to spell "together," think of it like "To. Get. Her."). Finally, I am constantly inquiring about how the student feels and trying to relate their interests to how the topic works.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricings can be vary and I am willing to compromise.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who can think differently, someone with an amplitude of life experiences they can share as teachers and tutors are not only there for academic success but for life support. When looking for an effective teacher/ tutor, find someone with a burning passion for the material, even if they have less experience than others. Find a personal connection with that individual, as teachers are people, too, with plenty of adventures and new ideas to share.
