About
Welcome all students! My name is Ms. Madi, and I’m a remote professional tutor, working with students wherever they are for $20 an hour! I have 5 years of experience tutoring both in high school and college, and I have worked with children who have intellectual disabilities using the methods of behavior analysis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I have spent my time teaching English in online classrooms to non-native speakers. In these years, I have found teaching and tutoring to be so rewarding, as I have facilitated learning and understanding.
While my degree and specialty are in Psychology, pursuing this field afforded me experience in many other fields of study, such as:
• Mathematics
• The sciences, including chemistry, biology, and physiology
• The social social sciences including history, sociology, and of course, psychology, such as developmental psychology
• The arts, including theater and photography
... and much more! In all of these courses, there was a significant emphasis placed on written work, which has given me a wealth of experience. I graduated from college at 19 years old after completing four rigorous years that culminated in a 60 page thesis.
Why do I love to tutor?
One of the most significant lessons I learned as a student was that the more engaging, involved, and intriguing the classes I took were, the more I participated in and benefited from the class. It is my goal as a tutor and a teacher to create an environment in which students are drawn to engage with the material, ask questions, and enjoy learning!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I receive an inquiry, I coordinate with the student or their parent to schedule an initial session, discuss the online classroom, and learn what their expectations are. In the initial session the student will have the opportunity to share what subject, essay, project, or challenge they would like to focus on. Together, we will discuss an approach, a schedule moving forward, and get started!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as 6 to scholars as old as 20. I love working with students of all ages and backgrounds!
