I have over 8 years of experience working with students of all ages! I am a college advisor by trade so not only can I help you in your classes but I can also prepare you for college! My diverse educational background tells you that I have a diverse set of skills with an emphasis on writing, reading, problem-solving, and communication! In the past, I have developed several non-profit tutoring programs for communities in need. I am very passionate about education and believe it should be accessible to all. I am excited to help along your learning journey!
It's not easy asking for help, and when you do, it's important to work with someone patient and kind throughout the process. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I schedule a time to talk prior to our tutoring session so that I can understand your needs and what we are planning on working on together. Upon determining our goals together, we will start to develop a plan and work towards it each session!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors's degree in Political Science and Sociology and a Master of Public Administration with a focus on education policy. Additionally, I have recieved 4 years of training working with first-generation students, college preperation curriculum, and essay writing and review!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every student imaginable! Because of my diverse background, I am very flexible and adaptable! It is important to clearly communicate your child's needs so that we can work together to accomplish their learning goals.
