I am currently in the process of applying to medical school. In the meantime during my gap year, I want to tutor and help others reach their goals. I find it immensely rewarding to help guide students to success, as I was in the same boat throughout my educational career.
Although individual students may learn different subjects, I believe the joy success and hard work paid off is universal.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Tailored learning techniques and developing skills to for a more applicable learning experience for each student. I try to take the "dry" information from textbooks to easy memorizable and digestable concepts using past successful experience from past students and from psychology techniques. This is how I have scored in the 98% and above for standarized exams (ACT, MCAT). I also build test taking skills to complement learning.

How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring younger children starting in high school. I truly value the worth of learning and education. It is always such a pleasure when students have reached their goal and change their views on learning. By starting at an age where I was still learning and teaching at the same time, I used experiences from both areas to excel in my own learning as well as helping others make strides in their own learning as well.
Learning is not necessarily a boring and mundane task, it can be very enjoyable. Sometimes, students need a bit of guidance to help them on this track.

Elementary, middle, high school students, both for standard level and Advanced Placement (AP) exams.

Have also taught labatory procedural techniques on top of academia.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have graduated with a BS in Neuroscience and a minor is sociology from The Ohio State University. I am looking forward to applying to medical school in the nearby future.
